Yes! MDL welcomes members from all over the world. Masterclasses, Clinics, and coaching sessions are all delivered virtually. Guided workbook journals are shipped internationally, with standard shipping included in your membership fee. The one thing to be aware of is that live group sessions are scheduled on a fixed timetable, so time zones are worth considering before you join. What results can I expect, and how quickly?
Some things will change very quickly: clarity of thinking, quality of conversations, confidence in decisions. Behavioral change takes longer, and anyone promising you a transformation in thirty days is selling you … well, a dream and some magic beans. What we can tell you is that your annual assessment gives you a hard, objective benchmark so you don't have to rely on gut feel to measure your progress. You'll know exactly what's improved and by how much year-on-year. Almost all members who commit fully see meaningful, measurable change within their first year.
How long will the results last?
Longer than most programs you'll have tried (and we've designed it that way) but only if you do the work. Rather than delivering a burst of insight and inspiration you'll forget by next quarter, the MDL Membership builds daily habits and recurring practices that become part of how you lead. The leadership workbook journaling journey spans 720 days, the assessments repeat annually, and the learning via Masterclasses, Clinics, and coaching is ongoing. Is there a minimum commitment?
Technically, no - monthly members can cancel with 30 days' notice at any time. But if you want results, we'd encourage you to think in terms of at least a year. Leadership development that works takes time to compound. Members who get the most from this membership are in it for the long haul and the annual assessment is specifically designed to show you just how far you've come.
How much time will it actually take?
Realistically, around two to three hours per week depending on your plan. The daily guided leadership workbook journaling takes around ten minutes. The daily audio is about five minutes (and there’s the option to listen on 1.5x speed). Masterclasses run for 90 minutes every two weeks, and Clinics are 60 minutes monthly. If you're on Elevate, add one hour of coaching per month. If you're on Elite, add two. Across a full month, that's somewhere in the region of ten to fourteen hours. Less than two working days, which, if you think about it, is exactly what every serious leader should be investing in their own development. We're deliberate about not filling your calendar with anything that doesn't earn its place there.
What if I fall behind or can't keep up?
We give you the structure - the guided leadership workbook journals, the sessions, the audios - but you're the one who has to show up for them. Or as we like to say, we give you the sheet music, but you have to play the tune. If life gets in the way of part of the membership, or you choose to focus on certain parts of the membership over others for a period, that's okay. Development isn't always linear and neither is leadership. Masterclass and Clinic recordings are available in the Leadership Library from the moment you join, and your Concierge is there to help you find your feet again whenever you need it. The system is designed to work around the leadership schedules we know you're dealing with.

I'm already working with an external coach. Does the membership still make sense?
Often, yes. Several of our members use the MDL Membership alongside an existing coaching relationship rather than as a replacement for it. The workbook journals, assessments, and Masterclasses are incredibly valuable regardless of whether you have a coach. If you want the structure and measurement framework without any additional coaching, the Evolve plan is designed for exactly that. And, honestly, if we do our job right, you’ll replace your existing coach with one of ours before too long. We’ll work hard to make that happen.
How does coaching work, and how do I know I'll be matched with the right coach?
Coaching is included with Elevate and Elite plans. You're matched with an MDL coach based on your sector, your leadership challenges, and the priorities identified in your assessment. The matching happens before you begin. If the fit isn't right, we'll find you someone more suitable. Coaching isn't something we take lightly, or assign casually. Sessions are delivered virtually via Zoom, recorded by default, and uploaded to your Leadership Library for your personal reference.
What happens in the first 30 days?
From the moment you join, your dedicated Client Concierge takes care of everything.
What support will I receive throughout my membership?
Every plan includes a dedicated Client Concierge - your personal point of contact for every aspect of your membership, from onboarding and scheduling to habit-setting and anything else that comes up. Elite members also have access to on-demand 1:1 virtual support sessions whenever they need them. You won't be left to figure anything out on your own.
Can my team join too?
Yes - although what we will say is this: if you're their leader, you should be in the membership too. You can't develop the people around you beyond the level you're willing to develop yourself. We have plenty of leaders who join alongside members of their senior leadership team. If there are up to five of you, the MDL Membership is the right solution. I'm already working with an external coach. Does the membership still make sense?
Often, yes. Several of our members use the MDL Membership alongside an existing coaching relationship rather than as a replacement for it. The workbook journals, assessments, and Masterclasses are incredibly valuable regardless of whether you have a coach. If you want the structure and measurement framework without any additional coaching, the Evolve plan is designed for exactly that. And, honestly, if we do our job right, you’ll replace your existing coach with one of ours before too long. We’ll work hard to make that happen.
How does coaching work, and how do I know I'll be matched with the right coach?
Coaching is included with Elevate and Elite plans. You're matched with an MDL coach based on your sector, your leadership challenges, and the priorities identified in your assessment. The matching happens before you begin. If the fit isn't right, we'll find you someone more suitable. Coaching isn't something we take lightly, or assign casually. Sessions are delivered virtually via Zoom, recorded by default, and uploaded to your Leadership Library for your personal reference.
What happens in the first 30 days?
From the moment you join, your dedicated Client Concierge takes care of everything.
What support will I receive throughout my membership?
Every plan includes a dedicated Client Concierge - your personal point of contact for every aspect of your membership, from onboarding and scheduling to habit-setting and anything else that comes up. Elite members also have access to on-demand 1:1 virtual support sessions whenever they need them. You won't be left to figure anything out on your own.
Can my team join too?
Yes - although what we will say is this: if you're their leader, you should be in the membership too. You can't develop the people around you beyond the level you're willing to develop yourself. We have plenty of leaders who join alongside members of their senior leadership team. If there are up to five of you, the MDL Membership is the right solution. Do you offer a discount for non-profit organizations?

What does the one-time joining fee cover?
The $1,950 joining fee is a one-time charge that covers four things: your personalized Leadership Toolbox (including your monogrammed leather journal cover, signature fountain pen, Effort Sand Timer, Wisdom Spinner, and your first guided workbook journal, Tabula I); your Leadership Library account set-up; your initial 1:1 virtual Onboarding Session with your dedicated Client Concierge; and your first leadership assessment and applicable profiles. To be clear, it's a one-time investment. It doesn't repeat.
